Mug
“Few places on earth embrace as much beauty and soul as Wyoming has to offer. Vast and wild, one can still sense the tempest of nature - land not totally gripped by man. This is the essence we strive for in our pottery and want to share with you. We hope you feel it, too.”
Thom and Kim Norby have been creating and making pottery full time since 1986. Each piece of pottery is hand thrown on a potter’s wheel by Kim and then individually glazed by Thom. That means that no two pieces are exactly alike. Each mug is a unique and individual piece of art. Thom draws out all of the animals, then cuts stencils from those drawings. Their porcelain mugs are airbrushed with these animal images including wolves and moose. They use high-fire porcelain clay that is fired to over 2300 degrees Fahrenheit, is lead-free and safe for use with all foods. The glaze is oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.
